Faithbooking is defined as a creative expression of an individual's spiritual journey captured in scrapbooks, journals or other mediums. It uses photos, decorative papers, scriptures, embellishments and other artistic media to create unique layouts and page designs. The goal of faithbooking is to preserve and tell a story about how an individual grows spiritually--what we call an individual's faith journey.
We use Psalm 78:4 as our guiding verse for why we faithbook. It states "We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and mighty wonders." When we faithbook, we are not only documenting our own faith journey, but leaving a legacy document for the generations to proclaim the glory and good works of the Lord.
In just a short time, I will be releasing an app that provides guided faithbooking reflections to help you journal your faith and leave your legacy of your relationship with God for both yourself and your family. Our app will be available on Apple and Google Play stores so watch this space!
